MOUNTAIN MOMENTS guiding is run by Karin & Olov Isaksson Zgraggen. We are a Swiss Swedish Couple and offer mountain guiding services around the world, but primarily in the Alps and Scandinavia.
We believe that being successful is having returning costumers. We like to work with people on the long term and would like to help you achieve your goals and reach your dream summits. For us, being in the mountains is certainly about reaching jagged peaks and skiing untracked powder but also about sharing Mountain Moments together.

Karin Isaksson Zgraggen
IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide Aspirant
The mountains have always been a natural part of Karin´s life. She grew up in the middle of Switzerland in the canton of Uri and started skiing and hiking as soon as she could walk. As an adult she got into climbing and started spending all her free time in the mountains. She has an extensive background within Marketing in the Outdoor industry but has now decided to focus on guiding as for while.
Karin usually has a big smile on her face while being outdoors and has a special love for multi-pitch climbing, winter climbing and skitouring.
Karin can guide you in German (standard German / Swiss German), Swedish, English and with some more practice French.
Olov Isaksson
IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide
Olov grew up in Sweden but his passion for the mountains brought him to the Alps at an early age. After living in Switzerland, France and Germany for 15 years, he now splits his time between Scandinavia and the Alps. When he is not guiding, Olov works as an Associate Professor of Business Administration (Operations Management) at Stockholm University.
Olov enjoys all disciplines in the mountains but has a special fondness of ski-touring, rock climbing and winter climbing. He has personal and guiding experience from places like the Alps, Scandinavia, Himalayas, Karakorum, Patagonia, Yosemite and the Rockies.
Olov can guide you in Swedish, English, French, Swiss German, German, and if you are patient, Italian.
IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV
IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV is the international federation of mountain guides associations. This means it is an umbrella organisation for the different member countries all over the world and one part of the organisation is to ensures the quality of the education to become a certified mountain guide. As an IFMGA mountain guide you go through an intensive training in order to become qualified to guide internationally.
A certified IFMGA guide has the highest international qualification available in the four disciplines of mountaineering, skiing, ice climbing, and rock climbing.
